This Sinner’s Prayer

Dear Lord,
Another day. Another sin.
Willfully chos’n, this time again.
How deep it runs, this stench within.
Backwards and forth, just like a wave.
Both good and bad, do I behave.
Oh gracious Lord, please quickly save.
But this I know, there’s naught in me.
There’s nothing that, from sin will free.
Oh please, dear God, hear this, my plea.
